A 6-day itinerary to introduce you to the important cities of India in the north. Explore the traditions, architecture, and history in the cities of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.
Reach Delhi and spend the night at the hotel. In case you have time you could indulge in some local cuisine and shopping.
After a hearty breakfast start your tour of Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated then proceed to Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India, and then move onto see the magnificent Red Fort. Spend the afternoon exploring New Delhi monuments such as Humayun's Tomb and the Qutub Minar. Take a drive around the Rajpath, seeing the India Gate, Parliament House, and the President's Residence. Spend the night at the hotel.
Check out of the hotel and drive to Agra. Start the tour with the magnificent Taj Mahal, an extravagant expression of love that emperor Shah Jahan built for his beloved wife. Walk around Agra Fort - the majestic red-sandstone structure. Spend the night at the hotel.
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and head for Jaipur. En-route stop for some time to see the forgotten city of Fatehpur Sikri - built by the Emperor, Akbar. Visit the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, Buland Darwaza, and the Tomb of Salim Chisti. Move onto Jaipur and check in to the hotel.
Head out to explore the Pink City, starting with Amer Fort - the old capital of Jaipur. You could ride on an elephant to reach the gates of the fortress or walk up. Visit the Maharaja's Museum, Jai Singh's Astronomical Observatory, and Hawa Mahal, later in the day. Spend the night at the hotel.
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and drive to Delhi. Transfer to the airport or railway station for the homeward journey.
